This script allows an Administrator to become any other user in the Phorum, with a simple interface. Its useful for debugging problems that a user is seeing which you cannot duplicate, especially if the user is not very good at describing the problem.

It can also be used for less noble purposes. Because Admins are effectively all powerful in Phorum, you need to be careful just who you give admin access to. An admin using this could create an impersonated post as another user, or even as another admin.

Note that these things are entirely doable now if you are an admin, have enough access to the Phorum installation, and know what you are doing. This script just makes it much easier.

I strongly recommend that you be very careful about giving out admin access, and delegate power by using moderators instead. They are much more restricted.

Installation: Download and extract into the main phorum directory. To use it, just point your browser at switchuser.php in your phorum directory.

Yeah, my webserver decided to spontaneously combust yesterday while getting a memory upgrade. Something about superblocks being corrupted, I'm not entirely sure as the machine isn't anywhere near me.

So at the moment there is no place to download this from. I'm hoping to get it fixed over the weekend, but no guarantees.

does this work with latest 5.1 version?

why don't you try it? ;)
it should work as it uses the api-functions for doing its work.

well I should say I tried it and it's not working for me :)
No appearing in the module section and can't do anything

its not a module, its an addon.
put it in your phorum-folder and simply call it through your browser.

I noticed it by looking at the code.
I was trying all modules simply drag and drop into the mod folder, and it appears as a module so that's what I did
