Sometimes when running large forums you need to request the help of regulars to help maintain the comments. However not everyone in this world is reliable. Can we have more control over what moderators can do? or at least more logged as to what they ARE doing?
Moderators shouldn't be able to 'delete' a post, deleting in fact should move a message into a another 'hidden' forum logging who 'deleted' it and from which thread it came from, with maybe an easy to to put it back if a admin should require it..
Moderators editing other peoples posts should generate a email to admins saying the before and after.
Thanks,
--DK

Well, this all sounds like a good idea. In the interim, maybe you could use something like this instead however: [www.phorum.org]. Does not solve your edit issue, but it does solve your delete issue.

Some things that you can already do is enabling the event logging module, which will log moderation events. Also, make sure that you enable the edit tracking, which allows you to see exactly what was changed in each revision of the message.
