upload size

I need some help. I am a first time user taking over someone else's work.
I have been given the task of editing the code to make the upload size a
little bigger. Currently we are at 100k and they want to change it 1000k.
I've never used Phorum before and don't have the first clue which file to look
in to find where to change the file upload size. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

are you really talking about phorum-5.1.x?
There is no hardcoded size limit in the files.
You set the size in the admin area and its limited by the max_packet_size of mysql.
