I thought it was worth noting to our users that MySQL AB is stopping support for MySQL 4.1 at the end of this year. You can see the schedule at [www.mysql.com]. Extended support does last through 2009. That is only for severe security issues and only released on an as needed basis. This means releases will only happen if people paying for support or a major distribution push for it. As for Phorum, we will continue to support MySQL 4.1 in Phorum 5.1. However, given this expiration, I see no reason to ensure 4.1 support for Phorum 5.2. We have no plans to break 4.1 support in 5.2. I am just not going to guarantee compatibility when 5.2 is ready. Also, I will be upgrading this server to 5.0. That means that Phorum will be developed using 5.0. The bottom line is that everyone out there needs to move to 5.0. Currently it reads:

"Phorum Requirements
